Actor Scott Eastwood, known for his role in “Suicide Squad,” has confirmed he is open to the idea of portraying the iconic character Batman in the DC Universe (DCU). In a recent interview, Eastwood stated he would ‘definitely’ consider the role if it was offered to him.
Eastwood’s experience with DCU isn’t limited to his acting contributions; he is also the son of famed actor Clint Eastwood and has expressed his admiration for the complex universe that DC has created. His previous involvement in the DCU as Lieutenant GQ Edwards in “Suicide Squad” has equipped him with some insight into the workings of the DCU.
While Eastwood has shown interest, it is still unclear who will take over the role of Batman in the DCU. The current actor, Robert Pattinson, has not made any public statements about relinquishing the role. This uncertainty leaves room for speculation and has fans eager to see what the future holds for the Batman character.
The DCU has been known for reshuffling its actors and giving roles a new interpretation. Thus, even though Eastwood has claimed readiness to take on the role, the final decision will ultimately rest with DC and Warner Bros. As Eastwood shared his willingness, he also noted that it’s the studio’s call regarding which actor gets donned with the Batman cape.
