Grammy-nominated artist SZA addressed recent speculations concerning the absence of Frank Ocean from her anticipated album, ‘LANA’. News had been making the rounds that Ocean, a decorated musician in his own right, was marked to be part of her project but was last minute excised from the record.

The singer-songwriter turned to social media to provide her version of events after the chatter started to grow. She clarified, “No. Never happened. Any Frank-related news had never been confirmed. There were intentions for a feature but it never materialized. Please don’t make up things.”

SZA did not hold back from expressing her feelings of frustration at the unfounded rumors. She added that while she greatly respects Ocean, she would not want fans to be misinformed and misguided by inaccurate news. “It’s disheartening to see fans upset over something that isn’t true,” she further commented.

Her latest album, ‘LANA’, had created a buzz in the music industry due to her prior collaborations with notable stars. As for Frank Ocean, he had previously showcased his singing finesse in numerous successful projects, leading to fans expressing their eagerness for the two to join musical forces. The conjecture surrounding his involvement was then largely due to their mutual respect and potential for creating compelling music. Despite the unfounded reports, she hopes that the focus would be back on the music itself.

As SZA continues on her musical journey, she encourages fans to stay tuned for future projects. “Let the music speak for itself. Looking forward to sharing more with you all,” she concluded.
