Music legend Bob Dylan has expressed high praise for Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet. Dylan described Chalamet as a ‘brilliant actor’ and affirmed his belief in the younger actor’s capability to accurately depict him.

Speculation has arisen around the casting of a young Bob Dylan in a biopic directed by James Mangold. As of yet, no official announcement has been made regarding who will fill this role. However, Dylan himself seems to have a preferred candidate in mind.

‘He’s going to be completely believable as me,’ the ‘Like a Rolling Stone’ singer said of Chalamet. These words from Dylan not only reflect his confidence in Chalamet’s abilities but also serve as a strong endorsement for the actor. Dylan is widely known to be reserved in his public statements, making this open commendation notable.

Chalamet has carved an impressive career in a short span of time with remarkable performances in a variety of roles. His portrayal of Elio in ‘Call Me By Your Name’ earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor at the tender age of 22, making him the third-youngest nominee in the history of the Academy Awards.

This isn’t the first time Chalamet has tackled a biopic. In 2019, he starred as Henry V of England in the Netflix film ‘The King’. Critics praised his portrayal of the English monarch, further cementing his reputation as a talented performer.

Should he take on the role of a young Bob Dylan, it would mark yet another high-profile biography for Chalamet. It would also illustrate Dylan’s faith in the actor’s ability to accurately portray such an iconic figure as himself.
